Map Digitizing

Objectives

This unit is exercise oriented, that will teach you how to digitize practically. You will learn the functionality of digitizing in order to capture the data in GIS. The general procedure is illustrated step-by-step through Animation. At the end of the unit, the students will understand how to capture the point, line and polygon features using digitizing capabilities of GIS. You need to digitize the provided map with your digitizing software or GIS software after learning the process. Otherwise, you will not be able to carry out digitizing practically.
